The shift into spiritual life

My 2-year retreat in India cleared my mind and allowed me to reset when I returned.

I went at dusk, after gardening all day. When I returned last summer to find the undergrowth all cleared and the ground naked, I promised the tree I would plant things, and now I have.

This evening is auspicious. Tomorrow is auspicious - a special day known as Akshaya Tritiya. From now on, I think things will go well. The last month has been full of trials. This is the commencement of an auspicious time.

The leaves turn geru and the tree lets them go. With the shift into spiritual life comes withdrawal from interaction, a move into retreat. The tree is also following that way. She is happy to be, she is internalising, letting go of involvement and attachment and doing.

The tree is going into retreat, in accordance with the way of her cycle.
