The flame of her renunciation

The tree gives her leaves back to the earth.

Now the ground is also geru*. The tree is giving her leaves, giving her geru, that the sustaining earth may be clad in the light of the leaves, the light of geru and the flame of her renunciation, as she drops involvement with the external and enters retreat.

Each leaf is in the form of a flame, burning itself up in sacrifice and offering.

There is only joy in the process

*Geru is the orange colour of the robes worn by Indian swamis.
