I felt impatient

The blue tongued lizard in my garden is as patient as can be. I saw it last week catching some autumn sun, tail buried in the mulch, no worries.

12th April, 2010

I have been in Sydney.

This morning is wet. Underfoot I felt the sting of cold, very sharp. There were some birds making a racket.

I felt impatient and the tree was distant, not with me. I am feeling impatient more often, generally speaking. I am thinking about that, as I have often wondered if, in my life, I have been too patient with things that were undeserving of patience.

Maybe the tree didn’t relate today because it doesn’t connect with impatience. Our frequencies were at odds.
