Even as the waves toss us
The turbulence of waves rolling in from the depths of the Southern Ocean.

Autumn is finally being felt and the tree is withdrawing herself, her energy. She is very quiet.
The soil grows cold, a light rain falls, she is soft and internalised while I attempt to meet her, needing to put aside thoughts and stresses in order to do so.
I have had two weeks of difficulties coming along randomly, I have been preoccupied with human conundrums and responsibilities.
Under the stormy surface I hope I have had steadiness, like a deep sea, like the tree, whose leaves are blown about in the heat and cold, who bears the raw brunt of sun, rain, wind and all else, yet stands firm and keeps doing her work.
We have to keep doing our work, with a still centre, even as the waves toss us.
